like, I totally get it, cuz these platforms don't make it that easy to visualize or understand what is going on.

But, if you’re not using analytics, you’re basically throwing posts into the wind.

You're not a data or marketing expert, nor are you expected to be one, but if you are running a business on your own, and do not have a dedicated social media manager who can do the analysis for you, then let me help you....

Usually, business owners have these top 3 goals for social media -

  • Increase their brand awareness ("Get more people to talk about our brand")
  • Build credibility and trust ("Build relationships with our online audience so they feel comfortable buying from us")
  • Convert Followers to Customers ("Get more qualified leads and make sales")

And here's the thing...you don't need to look at every single data point that the Professional dashboard shows you.

Here's what you can focus on for Instagram. If you're trying to...

Increase Brand Awareness

  • look at the metrics that tell you if your content has caught someone’s attention, or is being shown to more people.
  • data to capture - Reach, Shares, Mentions, Video Views (when a video is watched for a minimum of three seconds)

Build Credibility & Trust

  • look at the metrics that tell you people are binging my content and want more
  • data to capture - Watch time, Saves, Social Sentiment (what are people saying in the comments)

Convert Followers to Customers

  • look at the metrics that tell you, “I’m helping people take action easily”
  • data to capture - Website Link Clicks, DMs, Subscribes, Product link clicks, Sales from Shop

Looking at your insights routinely allows you to focus on a smaller set of data points, allows you to quickly double down on what’s working, allows you to adjust your strategy easily.
